The mobile unit can be taken to a plant and employees tested seven at a time.

Approximately 190 employees can be tested during an 8-hour shift. Workers are off the job a minimum of time.

A baseline audiogram is obtained for each employee and a permanent copy is supplied to the company. Annual audiograms are compared with the baseline to determine if a standard threshold shift has occurred.

Management and safety personnel are counseled regarding proper selection, use and care of hearing protection devices.

All hearing conservation services offered by the Roanoke Valley Speech and Hearing Center meet or exceed requirements of OSHA and the Labor Department.

The program is under the supervision of a Licensed and Certified Audiologist.

Equipment used meets requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Videos to inform and motivate employees are available for showing to individuals or groups.

A training program for employees which meets the OSHA requirements may be arranged.

No plant is too large or too small.  The program is structured to meet individual needs.
